St Patricks day parade

These are horses from Ft Riley. They were huge! I liked them and spent many minutes talking with them all. I think they were beautiful, and they all looked identical. They were all geldings. Tad and Nathalie were amazed by their size! This same day, they were told they can probably have horse riding lessons from the owners of the pony below. Seemed to feel a bit smallish themselves standing next to these big beasts!

Donna Spillane owns Kilkenny Appraisal Services and she asked if the children would like to ride in her truck and throw the candy for the St Patricks day Parade in Chapman, Ks. We rode right past the house we lost in the tornado, it is rebuilt beautifully but looks nothing like our house. Nathalie says she liked that house better and wishes it was on our land here. The kids had a great time helping Donna, who is pictured here with them.

The children and the pony which Nathalie calls a dalmation pony bc from the side, he has dalmation colored fur. He was a sweet pony! This couple who owned him agreed to consider horse riding lessons and we exchanged numbers. I hope she will teach them, Tad has ridden and of course Nathalie feels slighted and wants to try... That is until she saw the above horse and then she felt diminished!
